Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Chloé Argyle (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit corporateraidersplaybook.com and register your interest in Corporate Raiders’ Playbook. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you complete the registration form, we collect:
- your first name, last name and email address;
- whether you attended Spark + Australian Equities Day;
- your postal address, if you ask for a complimentary copy;
- whether you have agreed to receive emails from us.
When you visit the site, we also collect standard technical information, such as your browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived. We collect this through cookies set by HubSpot, the tool that runs our registration form and site analytics. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. The site will still work if you do.
If you email us directly, we use your message and email address only to reply to you.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- tell you when the book is released and how to get a copy;
- check whether you are eligible for a complimentary copy, and post it to you;
- contact you about postage for your complimentary copy;
- send you occasional news about the book and the author, if you have agreed to this;
- understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Who we share it with
Your information is stored and processed by these service providers:
- HubSpot, Inc. runs our registration form, email list and analytics. HubSpot stores data on servers that may be outside Australia, including in the United States. HubSpot handles data under its own privacy and security commitments.
- Google (Firebase Hosting) hosts the website. Google processes technical information, such as IP addresses, in order to deliver the site.
- Postal and courier services receive your name and postal address if we send you a complimentary copy.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Emails and unsubscribing
We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within five business days, as the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) requires.
How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Those steps include relying on providers with established security practices and limiting who can access the data. We delete or de-identify information once we no longer need it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at chloe@ethica.capital and we will respond within 30 days.
